Why did you choose to become a coach?

After coming after a stint with the USA national team, I had felt empty and restless for several months in 2005 when my wife finally urged me to think about a coaching career. “Ever since then, I found my calling and have been enjoying it ever since then!”

What do you enjoy about coaching?

It’s a burning passion of mine, the love for the beautiful game, hence therefore I am here today as a coach. I love the challenges wherever I go and instilling the desire in players to win. Also teaching what I've learned as a player to younger players and it is very rewarding to see players  come together and see their hard work pay off.

How do you hope to inspire your players?

To lead by example and set expectations that hard work in practice will help prepare players in life. In addition, teach that teamwork is important like in a family, work, and social environments while it’s important to never give up. Hard work pays off and when goals are achieved in life, players build confidence and can overcome challenges in life.
