Why did you choose to become a coach?

I was very fortunate as young player to come up in a clubthat had wonderful youth coaches that were also the professional coaches of thesoccer teams at the College of William & Mary and Christopher NewportUniversity.  The excitement that thesecoaches brought to teaching the game of soccer and the connections they builtwith their players laid the foundation for my development as a player but, moreimportantly, my love and passion for soccer. I hope that as a parent and coach, I am able to pass along not only thetechnical and tactical knowledge of soccer but also to pass along the gift of nurturingthe players’ love for soccer and development of the life skills soccer instillsthat will last beyond their long and successful careers as players.
